Karugiro coffee factory belongs to the Kamacharia Farmers Cooperative Society, which was established in 1993 and has 920 active members, nearly 20% of whom are women.

This area has two harvests, one from March to May, and main harvest season being from October to December. Water sourced from the nearby Rundu River aids in the fermentation invoved in the washing process. Because drying can take from 5 to 30 days, beans  are stirred three times a day to ensure there is no risk of the beans being harmed by the weather.
This coffee has a delicate acidity and lingering sweetness. Notes of red grape, plum, and nectarine are rounded off by rich panela sugar on the finish.
